Has anyone else been following the events (mostly bombings and arrests) in London, and around the world? Does anyone else have an opinion/interesting point/etc. they'd like to share?
I'm sorry, but I find news that makes its way around the world very interesting, especially when it has visible repercussions the world over, as well.
Well?

If you guys won't tell anyone, I had a massive crush on a girl last year, and this year she went to spend a year in England (don't know whereabouts). When I was staying in the U.S. there came news of the bombings, and I practically choked on whatever I was eating. Since I was separated from my 'social network' at home, I had no way to find out how she was, so I spent every Internet-opportunity I got scouring madly for Australian fatalities. Fortunately there was only one, a man I don't know, and as sad as his death is, I was pretty damned happy for the rest of the day.
Anyway, does anyone think the Muslims worldwide really are being persecuted because of these extremists' actions? From what I've seen, they seem to be overreacting, but then, I haven't experienced living near one of these disaster sites.

I know the feeling. My current ex-girlfriend lived/lives in Saudi Arabia, and the city that is associated with her Americanized compound was plagued by people running around with guns and taking non-Arabs or any Christian hostage (they knew people's religion since in Saudi you are issued an ID card containing place of birth, religion and so forth). This was during the beggining of our relationship. Three ended up dead, one was wounded. The man who was wounded would've been her math teacher were she staying in Saudi for her schooling.

My God! Did the whole thing last long? [I mean the outbreak; not the relationship]

About a week. The city was Khobar, she lived in Dhahran, about ten minutes away. Two of the three men were released free of charges, after they surrendered, after a Saudi sniper killed one of them.
Relationship lasted a good... four months.

Ah, neat! At the risk of seeming like a copycat, I might as well become postless, too. It's an easy way to leap up to three stars.

Muah. I shall accumulate postage. if I can't have it permanently set to an irrational number, or 42, or summat, I'll just deal. Besides, I gots me custom title to Hubris and Musitude anyways...

For some reason I don't like to see my post number, so having set back some amount by Chris takes care of that.
