*Wink wink* *Nudge nudge* *Says no more* ... Sorry, I had a Monty Python moment... Ahem... Here's a piece I worked on a while ago. Fire at will. Please and thanks. Picture.

How'd you make it?
Recycled photoshopped art? The raw sweat of pencil, scanner, and mouse? Zuki needs to know.

The base art is the official art from Nintendo's Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
And as I think I've said before, it's really good, Oatway.

I wish I could draw that well. Nah, 'tis the end result of the massacre of, as Astral said, some official art Nintendo released. I think I have a link somewhere...

I think it's kinda swank. I've seen better things done in photoshop, but I've also seen worse. I'll reccomend it to a zeldaphilic friend of mine, when he needs a new wallpaper.

Yes. He's got a screenshot from Twilight Princess as his background now.

You're always good about critiquing other people's works, so here's the least I can do for you (hope it's not too late):
The background is really good and unobtrusive, for starters. It's calm or neutral enough to make for an undistracting desktop. Likewise for the corner-adornments, they don't become obnoxious by trying to look fancy or bold.
The centrepart is the sticking-point, and probably the part which it's most important to get ironed out, because it's the main innovation that sets yours apart from the many others using this art, no? I really like the idea of having the fainter, darker portraits background the main ones; it's clever enough to be what I enjoy most here, but something in the execution could've used a bit more aesthetic flair.
See, the overlap between the 'normal' portraits and the 'shadow' versions doesn't quite rub me the right way - Link almost looks like he has an extra set of ears atop of his head, for one thing. What if, and this is only my suggestion, you were to enbiggen (=P) those shadow-portraits, so that they form more of a non-attention-seeking background to the main pictures? Even make them fainter, the main pictures slightly bolder, if need be. If you do so, it may be necessary to shift the pictures to the left a bit, simply because shadow-wolf would offset the symmetry, big time.
So, if - by some chance - you still are interested in working on this picture, try to aim to have the shadows at least big enough to 'swallow up' the main-pictures whole, with no overlap.
Here I have to give my obligatory "It's-a-pity-I-had-to-expend-so-much-wordage-on-these-things" spiel, because the overall impact is very good, and I couldn't fairly call it 'flawed' in any way. So, nice work!

Something more like this? You'd better like it. Not only did I name it after you, it also took me three freakin' tries to get it such that Photobucket wouldn't resize the thing...

Bloody oath I like it! Can't see any way it could possibly be made any better, either, so kudos to you!

[ Sets As Desktop Wallpaper] Huh... I may have to try that. I could always send you a higher quality version (and also at a larger resolution) if you want it...

Actually, the resolution seems perfectly fine on my desktop as is.
